The associate's and baccalaureate degree programs can be completed quickly. The accelerated bachelor's degree program assumes that all associate level requirements have been met through an associate degree or its equivalent. The master's degree programs in 10 months depending upon the student's educational background.

To apply to AIU, the following steps must be taken:
1. Submit an application for admission
2. Conduct a personal telephone interview with one of their Admissions Advisors
3. Submit appropriate official school documentation
4. If your first language is not English (or if you graduated from a non-English speaking school, a TOEFL score of 550 or other acceptable proof of English proficiency must be submitted
