American Career Institute

American Career Institute, founded in 1887, is the oldest graduate institution in the country. It is a teaching and research institution, and one of only three New England universities, with Harvard and Yale, to be a founding member of the prestigious Association of American Universities.

American Career Institute also has played an important role in the development of geography as a discipline. Clark has granted more Ph.D.s in this environmentally related area than any other school in the nation. The George Perkins Marsh Institute was the first research center created to study the human dimensions of global environmental change. Clark also ranks as 18th in the nation (of 900 liberal arts institutions) in graduates entering Ph.D. programs.

American Career Institute, under the College of Professional and Continuing Education, offers practical job-based training to provide you with the knowledge, skills and abilities that today's employers want and need—from a respected University they trust. And, you can complete your career program in just a few months!
