Somerset School of Massage Therapy offers coursework in the following areas: Professional Focus Track Program
The Professional Track represents the core of the Somerset curriculum. It is a comprehensive, 600-hour program that teaches all the therapeutic techniques you will need to become a highly adept, self-assured massage therapist. In order to suit your schedule, 6 we offer two options for enrollment in this program: a full-time, 6 month course or a part-time, 12 month course.
Eastern Focus Track Program
The Eastern Track augments the Professional Track with an additional certification in Shiatsu. A time-honored Japanese method, Shiatsu ministers to the body’s natural meridians in order to promote harmony, stress-relief, and overall wellness to clients. It is a 12 week program offered in January and August of each year.
Western Focus Track Program
The Western Track adds a certificate in Neuromuscular Therapy to the Professional Track. Neuromuscular Therapy, or NMT, attends to both acute muscular injuries and chronic muscular problems via deep tissue techniques. Like the Eastern Track Program, this course takes 12 weeks and is offered twice per year.
Spa Focus Track Program
The Spa Track can facilitate your ability to secure a position in a spa by supplementing the Professional Track with a certification in Spa Therapies. This certificate will teach you to integrate the therapeutic techniques you have already learned with body treatments typical in the spa setting. We offer this 9 week Spa Therapies course once per year.
