What began as two men’s desire to educate an aspiring group of chefs has grown into one of the finest culinary institutes in the nation. The Western Culinary Institute (WCI) has been teaching students the skills and techniques of the culinary arts since the early 1980s. Since 1996, they have been partnered with the Career Education Corporation, and this relationship has allowed WCI to better place students in careers throughout the world.

In a continuing effort to provide quality curriculum, WCI partnered with the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu program in 1999. In 2000, they became the first United States school to offer the Le Cordon Bleu Restaurant Management Diploma. This affiliation and designation has helped to increase future opportunities for our students. At WCI, we are dedicated to establishing partnerships and curriculum to assist our students in reaching their culinary goals.

Accreditation

The Western Culinary Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Technology. This accreditation allows us to provide a variety of financial assistance to our students. Programs Available

The Western Culinary Institute provides training in all areas of the culinary arts. At WCI our students not only learn to create delicious dishes, but also how to manage the inventory, why food is prepared the way it is, management skills, basics of nutrition, the importance of a professional attitude in hospitality, as well as all of the essentials to ensure their future positions in the hospitality/restaurant business. We believe in a multi-disciplined approach to teaching which means that we combine the tried and true teaching of Le Cordon Bleu with state of the art techniques for a well rounded curriculum. The following are a few of the programs that we offer:

* Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality and Restaurant Management – Associate’s in Occupational Studies
