Aeronautical Maintenance Technology (available at the Bedford / Boston Campus >> )

The total program of 300 school days (2,100 clock hours of 50 minutes each) covers a period of approximately 15 calendar months, depending upon holidays and breaks during the enrollment period. Each 1,050 clock hours of enrollment is defined as one academic year. The maximum class size is 33 students, and a maximum of 25:1 student to instructor ratio is maintained during any lab/shop component of a phase.

(Areas of study include: Electrical Systems, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems, Composite Structures, Fuel and Propeller Systems, Riveting, Fastening, Bending, Forming, Cutting, Welding and Inspection for airworthiness of sheet metal structures, Airframe Assembly and Rigging, Ignition and Starting Systems, Induction and Air Flow Systems)

The concentration in Service Management provides students with a technical skill set and the applied knowledge necessary to act as liaison between customers and service personnel to facilitate appropriate service and repairs. The technology and information processing required in today's automotive service industry is requiring a new breed of technician with a more complete education than in the past. This occupational degree program provides the graduate with a comprehensive, skills-tested technical background articulated with a strong core of business oriented applied general education courses. Individuals who successfully complete this program may seek positions offering growth into the management aspects of the service industry.

Students may add this course to any of our core programs (Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology or Collision and Refinishing Technology). Some of the specialty equipment students will use includes a flowbench and a 1600 horsepower engine dyno with nitrous capability.

Chassis Fabrication & High-Performance Engines offers a solid foundation in: Specialty chassis fabrication, Frame and front suspension design, MIG and TIG welding, Frame modification and roll cage construction, Pro-street frame set-up, Rear axle set-up and suspension, Cylinder head modifications
Camshaft degreeing, Supercharging and turbocharging, Precision measuring, blueprinting and critical calculations.

Our Associate of Occupational Studies in Plumbing Technology degree provides training that enables graduates to pursue a variety of different areas of employment in the plumbing field. An Aircraft Mechanic performs the maintenance, inspection, and repair of an aircraft. Most aircraft mechanics work on a variety of different aircrafts and systems, such as the engines, brakes, landing gear, electrical systems and aircraft structures; but some specialize in repairing specific parts of the aircraft, such as the instruments or hydraulic systems.
